    Experience Intro
    Detail
Kathmandu Valley will bring you back to the time of the Newar civilization which molded this part of Nepal into one of the most admirable places in the world! Seven monumental zones are included in this World Heritage Site, most of which you’ll be exploring with amazement on this cultural discovery! ★Kathmandu Durbar Square and Kumari Temple Also known as the Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square, this ancient site is the location of the palaces of the former kings of Malla and Shah Dynasties. Here, you’ll also find the Kumari Ghar - the temple that houses Kathmandu’s Living Goddess who is believed to be the incarnation of the Hindu warrior-goddess Durga. ★Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple) A legendary Buddhist temple which date of construction could not be ascertained, with many believing that it originated from a miraculous lotus which a past Buddha planted near the lake that once flowed along Kathmandu Valley. This is a famous pilgrimage site and worship place both for Buddhists and Hindus, where the monkeys that dwell in the area are considered holy. ★Bouddhanath Stupa A centuries-old Buddhist beacon of peace where both Buddhists and Hindus (including tourists) flock to make offerings. The base of this enormous meditative monument is designed with a pair of eyes on each cardinal direction, which represents the omniscient power of Buddha. ★Pasupatinath Temple This is the largest Hindu temple in Nepal and one of the most religious sites in Asia for worshippers of Shiva. According to legend, this temple was built at the site where a lingam of Shiva was discovered. Here, death rites and cremation are performed for deceased Hindus. ◆Itinerary: *Kathmandu Durbar Square and Kumari Temple *Syambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple) *Bouddhanath Stupa *Pasupatinath Temple ◆Friendly Reminder: *Duration: 1 Day *Language: English *Please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes earlier before the departure time. *Please provide the hotel information upon booking. ◆Availability: *5/6、9/5、9/23、9/29、10/13、10/17、10/23、11/23 at 09:00am ◆Minimum Age Requirement: 5 years old
